It’s a pay week! And I’m feeling good. This is the last scheduled money coming in until Dustin gets paid in two weeks, and I’ve paid the rest of the bills for June! When we both get paid in two weeks I’m finally, FINALLY, going to be able to start paying down some of the credit card debt.
We’re focusing on bringing down balances as fast as possible so that way in September we’ll hopefully be easily approved for a mortgage. Dustin changed industries so we have to wait until he is on the job for at least ninty days before we can even apply…that gives me a lot of time to worry and wonder.
We’ve found the perfect house, I absolutely love it. Of course we haven’t actually seen it in person yet. I’m hoping that we’ll be able to go see in July. We’re planning a trip over to the town where we’ll be moving. It’s only about an hour away from where we currently live so it will make for a nice day trip.
I’ve never been there, but I’ve done some siginificant research online and I’m pretty excited about the adventure. I’ve moved a number of times in my life, some across state, some across the country and it’s always been an adventure at the very least.
Luckily right now the homes in our area are selling quickly and for a good price, so I’m confident that we’ll be able to make a pretty decent profit off our house. I bought it almost 4 years ago and since then the neighborhood has really grown in those four years. The city and the neighbors have put a lot of effort into it and I’m really going to miss it.
I got paid this week, and I also had an essential oils party. It was a good week if unremarkable. I had a nice little bonus on my paycheck from my overtime that I worked and I really liked that. I’ve got a couple more Saturdays on the schedule this summer. I’m happy to take them as we get ready to move and have all those extra expenses.
This week I finished up paying June’s bills with the exceptions of the ones that are auto-pay. I don’t change them because one is our gas bill which obviously will be gone in a couple months. And the other is our car insurance. Which I might change soon too.
I’m big on getting my insurance quotes every 6-9 months and I’m due for one soon. I’ll probably look for a local agent in the town where we’re moving. If you haven’t gotten a quote recently I would definitely recommend it. Factors change frequently that could dramatically affect your rates. Worth taking a look at.
