I am so in love with what I got sent for my latest Stitch Fix box, for those of you who don’t know Stitch Fix is a subscription service for the
unstylish fashionably challenged! They have stylists who go through your preferences, pinterest boards, and questionnaire to find clothes/outfits that are perfect for you. They send them to you for a $20 styling fee (that gets put towards any clothes you buy) and you get to try them on in the comfort of your own house.
If you like them you keep them, if not you send them back! Easy as pie! There is an option to adjust your price points, and a pretty intense style questionnaire that you can update at any time. And if you have any special events coming up just let you stylist know and they’ll find things that fit!
I love this a whole lot, it’s been my reward for working out and I took a couple months because A. I was slacking really badly at the gym and B. working from home I wanted to make sure our budget could handle this. So it was with extra special to get my next Stitch Fix box in the mail.
My stylist Madison did an absolutely amazing job, she has styled me before and really seemed to catch on to what I like and my body type! So this is what she sent me, hope you like my choices!
Eileen Honeycomb Texture Knit Tank by Pixley
Initial Thoughts: Pulling this top out of the box I really liked the pattern and the fabric but wasn’t so sure about the style, normally I like longer tops or tops that are longer in the front. This one is shorter in the front so I was worried it would highlight all my least favorite areas.
Wearing It: I was actually surprised with how much I liked this on! The front is shorter than the back, but it works. I tend to wear high waisted pants anyways, and it actually falls at a nice place on me. I also love that it works so well with the capri pants that they sent me. I am always a fan when she sends me complete outfits so I can’t screw it up. 😉
Final Decision: Keeping it!! Perfect weight and style for summer, and can be dressed up with a cute skirt or kept casual with the capris!
Siena Capri Pant by Kut From The Kloth
Initial Thoughts: I love these, I don’t like wearing shorts during the summer so I very much prefer capri’s and these are super cute. I don’t have any pants/shorts/capri’s already in this color and the style is really fun. I’m super short so they’re more likely going to be pedal pushers on me, but I like that.
Wearing It: They fit great, a little snug in my areas I’m still working on (thighs) but not uncomfortably so. I love the color and they look great with the Pixley top! I really do like the length, and like I thought they do end up being more pedal pushers vs capri’s, but it works for me.
Final Decision: Keeping them! These will be really cute for this summer and I think they’ll go nicely with some of the other tops I’ve gotten in previous Stitch Fix boxes.
Norris Henley Top by Papermoon
Initial Thoughts: As soon as I pulled out the package and saw this top I knew I wanted it. I love the bright, fun, coral color and the fabric is really neat. It’s breathable and light, perfect for summer. I really love the longer length.
Wearing It: I love long shirts and I really love the cut on me, I feel comfortable and the girls aren’t smushed, which is ALWAYS a struggle. This shirt will be getting a lot of use this summer.
Final Decision: Keeping it!! Dustin really loved this one a lot too and it’s going to quickly become one of my go-to shirts this summer.
Abi Colorblock Maxi Dress by Pixley
Initial Thoughts: I’ve really loved a lot of the Pixley items I have gotten in my boxes, and this was the same. I loved the color and the light fabric. It seems a little long and I’m worried because I hate wearing anything other than flats so I don’t want to be tripping over myself. It also seems a little on the small side, especially in the bust area.
Wearing It: Surprisingly it isn’t that long on me, I can definitely get away with wearing flats with this dress, which was a big concern for me. And while it’s definitely more snug than I would normally go for I have been assured that it looks quite nice. I guess I just am not used to wearing fitted clothes.
Final Decision: Keeping it, I love maxi dresses and the colors on this one are gorgeous. This will be great for summer and any time I want to feel a little more dressy. Plus I love wearing dresses and skirts just everyday so it will get a lot of use.
Brittany Top Zip Crossbody Bag by Urban Expressions
Initial Thoughts: My initial thoughts exactly were, ugh… a purse…a purple purse. Bah. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t love it. I have a lot of purses already and don’t really need/want another one. Especially one that is so small. I carry a lot of crap with me, all the time.
Wearing It: Once I unwrapped it I still was underwhelmed, it’s not something I would normally pick for myself, and I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with it. But since everything else in the box was SO spot on I feel a little torn. Keeping it would be cheaper than sending it back.
Final Decision: Keeping it solely because of the buy 5 discount. Otherwise I would send it back. So beware any gift receivers, it will probably be re-gifted (or would it just be gifted?) or I will use it as a giveaway.
Overall I think this is my favorite Stitch Fix yet!! Thanks to the buy 5 discount I was able to snag all of these awesome items for a little over $200 and I am happy to take some quality, versatile, pieces into my wardrobe as I work on minimizing all the junk in there. I am working in favor of a smaller, better, wardrobe and these items work nicely with that.

PS…Can I just say this was my hardest time taking pictures, holy cow I had no idea what to do with my arms (I felt a bit like Wonder Woman) and my hair was a mess….insecurities abound! But I am so happy with what I kept and how it made me feel, and that’s what is important about clothes!
